Starting your own business and picking the right niche in no time

HackECPAT kicks off on July 18th, and you're invited! Join us for 2 days of  fun, excitement, & social change. High School students will have the chance to use their creative, tech, & leadership skills to help end child trafficking.

Participants are being asked to put a modern spin on our Youth Empowerment toolkit to fit today’s technological world. The toolkit is used by NYC students to educate themselves and their peers about the sex trafficking of children in the U.S.

In its current form, the Youth Toolkit is a PDF document and needs to be brought into the digital world. We're challenging YOU to come up with the most creative & interactive way to revamp it (i.e. via an app) and the winning team will have their idea materialized.

Come one! Come all! Let's create change together!!

sex trafficking happens here?

Every year across the globe, children are bought, sold, and used for sex.

At any given moment, an estimated 300,000 children, some as young as 11 years old, are at-risk of being commercially sexually exploited in the United States.

Watch our 2 minute video here.

What is ECPAT-USA doing?

To curb this epidemic, ECPAT-USA developed a toolkit to empower youth to take action against trafficking. Our "Empowering Youth to Take the Lead" Toolkit guides youth to educate themselves & their peers on the facts, misconceptions, warning signs, and risks of trafficking. 5 schools in the NYC area have implemented the Toolkit, and several students have directly self identified as victims of trafficking after using the Toolkit.

where do you come in?

This toolkit needs a modern spin from paper form and in-person presentations to fit today’s technological world.

This is where you come in.

How can we use technology to get youth involved in the fight against trafficking?
How can we reach youth in hard-to-reach areas and get them involved in the fight?

You are the movers, the creators, the doers.

We need your voice!
